Avoid Shipping Delays This Holiday Season

18 months ago we (Andi and Josh) looked at each other over Zoom, speechless. As the global pandemic took hold, we slowly realized that our entire business was in jeopardy: we would have to cancel our magic conventions and our retreats. Our entire business is offering performers magic tricks and tutorials, and now there were no performances for the foreseeable future. What role did an online magic brand have in a performance-less world?
As it turns out, you saw us through these troubling times. We pivoted to online gatherings, we launched VI+ with Masterclass: Live and Showtime online events, and...we survived. We kept every member of our team on staff, and we’re delighted things are starting to resemble normalcy.
As this holiday season approaches, we’re battling a different obstacle. There is an international shipping crisis and a labor shortage, and these factors present some real challenges to small businesses like ours. Printers and publishers and manufacturers have warned us that there will be delays in their ability to deliver products to us. On top of that, all couriers (including the United States Postal Service) cannot guarantee their shipping deadlines through the holidays, and as you can imagine, this is entirely out of our control.
So as we transition into the holidays, we ask you to keep in mind:
Shop early. When you shop with us you’re supporting creators, and all of our efforts to be the best magic shop on the planet. Take advantage of our Black Friday Sale and consider ordering the items you’ll want over the holidays at the same time (when they’re on sale).
We will do our part to ship out your orders as soon as humanly possible. But there may well be delays outside of our control once your order leaves our warehouse.
If you need something in a timely way, you should consider upgrading your shipping. Our free shipping option, as well as media mail, is a great cost-saving option, but the couriers this year will be erratic. Consider our UPS options which are much quicker.
This holiday season boasts some of the most anticipated releases in years and we’re thrilled to present them to you—many of them available only through us. We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate the many obstacles being thrown our way.
